1)Edward Weston was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1886. He started his career by taking pictures in the park with his aunt have he received his first camera at the age of 16. Following that Edward attended the illinois college of photography to pursue his career. After he finished school he moved to cCalifornia to pursue his dream of photography and where he opened his first studio in Tropico, California. His pictures included thing from nature to landscapes as wekk as the human figure. During the 20's Weston really worked with nude photos and achieved much of his style by keeping things in his photography very sharp and by not enlarging. In 1937 he was awarded a fellowship for his photography, and the first one to be awarded to a photographer. Inbetween this time and his death Weston published many different photography books. Now 50 years after his death his work is worth up to 1.6 million.
2) I can see he's done a lot of curled up nude photos as well as some photos of landscapes. Overall i would say his style is sharp and timid, It expresses many different used of light to show shadow too, which ads some sense of depressiveness.
